The idea to High Impact Soot System (HISS) is as simple as brilliant.
HISS is a system that notl needs a lot of rebuilts of the Soot System, steam piping or other equipment in the Recovery Boiler.
By this, an extremely cost-effective installation, with very short pay-back time of the investment, is acheived .
Installation of HISS can, in most cases, be done during production, which makes production stops unnessesary.
As the extent of the installation are limited, the risk of production interrupts are low. | | |

- High Impact Soot System
High Impact Soot System (HISS) is a patented system, which increases the efficiency of the existing Soot Blowing System in a Recovery Boiler. The system results in a Soot Blowing system, that uses the Soot Blowing Steam and dust characteristics much smarter.
This leads to the possibility to save a very large amount of high pressure steam and at the same time get a much more efficient sooting.
Large amount of saved high pressure steam, equals a lot of saved money and energy. The unique thing about HISS is that the operator in a very simply way can adjust the sooting of the Recovery Boiler. From one position where a large amount of steam and energy is saved (Position 1), to another position that results in over 100% more efficient sooting, without increased steam consumption. The absolute finesse, is that the operator can choose any position between these two extrems, and by that achieve both steam savings and more efficient sooting (HISS position). The saved steam can be run through a steam turbine, to create "green electricity", which can be sold or consumed internally.
